The Chicago Bears are proud to welcome Constellation as the energy provider to Halas Hall and our partner in the 2nd annual “Save Da Planet” week. "Save Da Planet" week will run from October 23 through October 28, 2012 with the goal of enacting sustainable business practices and raising awareness of conservation issues. The Bears organization encourages fans to engage in environmentally-friendly practices and adopt proactive ways to reuse, recycle and reduce their environmental footprint.

In partnership with Constellation, Chicago Bears staff members and players will be assisting Lake Forest Open Lands at the Middlefork Farm Nature Preserve in Lake Forest. The hands-on volunteer event will help with brush removal, cattail pulling, burn prep, seed collecting, and trail maintenance, among other things. The fall habitat restoration and preserve management is needed to maintain the desired habitat, keep out invasive species and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for public use. The Middlefork Farm Nature Preserve is part of an 800 acre corridor which historically was used for agriculture purposes and is now being restored to natural open space for wildlife habitat, environment programs and public recreation.

For more information about Lake Forest Open Lands, feel free to visit www.LFOLA.org.
