Wondering about a player, a past game or another issue involving the Bears? Senior writer Larry Mayer answers a variety of email questions from fans every day on ChicagoBears.com.

With the Bears about to play the Vikings in the Metrodome, I was wondering if Robbie Gould has a better field-goal percentage when kicking indoors. I would assume that he does.

Paul K.
Seattle, Washington

Yes, Robbie Gould has a better percentage kicking indoors. He has made 22 of 25 field goal attempts (88 percent) in domes and 104 of 122 outdoors (85.2 percent). Gould is 7 of 7 in four career games at the Metrodome, hitting from 22, 41, 24, 31, 49, 29 and 47 yards.

I was very happy to see a Bears running back break a long run. Was there a lineman who threw a nice block or was Kahlil Bell’s 72-yard run due primarily to his efforts?

Brian E.
Batavia, Illinois

There were a few Bears players who helped spring Kahlil Bell on his 72-yard run. I think it starts with left guard Josh Beekman, who double-teamed nose tackle Brodrick Bunkley with center Olin Kreutz before moving to the next level and blocking linebacker Joe Mays. Fullback Jason McKie also threw a nice block against linebacker Will Witherspoon, and Bell dashed through the hole. Receiver Johnny Knox also deserves a lot of credit for hustling downfield and blocking safety Sean Jones. Knox helped Bell gain about 20 extra yards on the play.

What’s the record for most interceptions thrown by a Bears quarterback in one season?

Matt W.
Highland, New York

Bears Hall of Fame quarterback Sid Luckman threw a franchise-high 31 interceptions in 1947. The next most is 24 by George Blanda in 1953 and Bill Wade in 1962.
