LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Kyle Orton proved that bowling is right up his alley.

The third-string quarterback rolled the highest game, an impressive 222, during a team bowling outing Thursday on the final day of the Bears’ offseason program.

“I do bowl quite often,” said Orton, who borrowed teammate Jason McKie’s ball for the event. “It wasn’t my best game by any means, but it was good enough to win.”

Assistant defensive backs coach Gill Byrd captured top honors among Bears coaches with a score of 180.

“It was a hard-fought battle,” Byrd joked. “I really enjoyed it. It was a great time for the coaches and the players.”

Linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer was also recognized for recording the most strikes, 13, in two games.
