LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Bears running back Adrian Peterson and guard Anthony Oakley will visit Bateman Elementary School in Chicago Tuesday in support of the Bears “Hello to Our Heroes” program.

Through this program, Peterson and Oakley will help students write letters to men and women of the military who are currently stationed overseas. The “Hello to Our Heroes” program, which is brought to you by Staples, was developed by the Chicago Bears in 2005 in an effort to help boost the morale of American soldiers.

Bears players visit a different school each month during the football season to help a group of students write letters that will be distributed to troops by the USO.  Staples is teaming up with the Chicago Bears and students from Bateman Elementary School for the “Hello to Our Heroes” program.

Staples will provide letter writing kits to the military men and women overseas who receive the students’ letters. For more information on the “Hello to Our Heroes” program, log on to www.ChicagoBears.com/community or call (847) 739-5308.
