LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Bears free-agent acquisitions Julius Peppers, Chester Taylor and Brandon Manumaleuna have switched teams, but all three will keep their old uniform numbers.

Two days after announcing that Peppers would wear the same No. 90 he donned the past eight seasons with the Carolina Panthers, the Bears on Friday confirmed that Taylor would stick with No. 29 and Manumaleuna would remain No. 86.

Taylor wore No. 29 in his first eight NFL seasons with the Baltimore Ravens (2002-05) and Minnesota Vikings (2006-09), while Manumaleuna was No. 86 with the St. Louis Rams (2001-05) and San Diego Chargers (2006-09).

Running back Adrian Peterson, who wore No. 29 with the Bears from 2002-09, is an unrestricted free agent who is not expected to return. Wide receiver Eric Peterman was issued No. 86 when he signed with the Bears Feb. 22. But the Northwestern product has been switched to No. 11.
