Two days after third-string quarterback
The younger brother of Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer, Jordan Palmer has appeared in four NFL games over four seasons with the Bengals (2008-10) and Jaguars (2012), completing 10 of 15 passes for 59 yards with two interceptions and a 34.4 passer rating.
Palmer was selected by the Bengals in the sixth round of the 2007 draft out of UTEP. The 6-5, 232-pounder was waived as part of final cuts, but rejoined the team in 2008, appearing in three games and completing 7 of 12 passes for 41 yards with two interceptions and a 25.3 passer rating.
Palmer, 29, spent part of last season with the Jaguars, but did not appear in a game.
Blanchard was injured in the second half of Friday night's 33-28 preseason win over the Chargers at Soldier Field. In two preseason games the first-year pro from Wisconsin-Whitewater completed 16 of 19 passes for 192 yards with one interception and a team-high 86.8 passer rating.
Foster appeared in 49 games with 19 starts over four seasons with the Colts from 2008-11 after signing with Indianapolis as an undrafted free agent from Rutgers. The 6-2, 265-pounder recorded 117 tackles, six sacks, four pass breakups, three fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.
