“This is their job and this is their responsibility,” Hoke says in a sit-down interview. “So we can be very specific and very detailed on where we want your feet, how we want you to come out of the break. We need to make sure we’re detailed because we have the time to be detailed.”
“Inside Rookie Minicamp,” which is presented by Chicago Tribune Digital Sports, gives fans unprecedented access to Bears players and coaches. Viewers will be taken inside meeting rooms, the locker room, weight room, equipment room, lunch room and onto the practice field.
In the second segment of the series, Hoke talks about working with Harris, who played four of his eight NFL seasons with the Bears from 2005-06 and 2010-11.
“Chris has transitioned into coaching very well,” said Hoke, who coached Harris during the safety’s second stint with the Bears. “It’s kind of been easy for me because he understands how we want to teach. He understands how we want to communicate with the players.”
“Inside Rookie Minicamp” was shot and produced by the Chicago Bears Network using specialty cameras and incorporating 4K footage. The five segments will be featured on ChicagoBears.com and the Chicago Bears Official Mobile App throughout June.
The entire series will also air in its entirety as a half-hour show on Fox 32 Chicago on Friday, June 20 at 9:30 p.m.
