Bears general manager Ryan Pace appeared on the WBBM 780 AM and 105.9 FM pre-game show in advance of Sunday's season finale against the Minnesota Vikings. Here's a transcript of that interview:

On last weekend's win over the Browns:

"I think it showed growth. It's great to see what we can accomplish when all three phases perform as well as they did. It's really a testament to the professionalism and preparation our guys showed the week leading into the game."

On cornerback Kyle Fuller's game against the Browns:

"That was one of the better performances by a corner we've seen since we've been here. I know last season was tough for him; it was tough for us. But we're very proud of the way he's responded and the way he's performed this season."

On Mitchell Trubisky's development this season:

"We talk about the growth process with a young quarterback and our coaches have done a great job of allowing Mitch to grow really in increments rather than overloading him early. We've seen a lot of growth from him over the last 11 games and that's a credit to him and how much work he's put in since we drafted him and where he's at today."

On revamping the quarterback position last offseason:

"We were aggressive attacking that position because it's the most important position in our game. In our business you have to be prepared for different variables and outcomes and putting a lot of resources into that decision really helped increase our odds for success."

On the Bears defense:

"We're proud of our defense and really the way they've performed all year. The development of those players is extremely encouraging. There are a lot of positives that are kind of going under the radar probably due to our record and that's fair. But I think the fact that we have a top-10 defense is certainly one of them."

On the state of the team three years after Pace was hired:

"When we came here three years ago we knew we had a lot of work to do and we sit here today with the third most roster turnover in that timespan. I think what's encouraging is that we really have a young core that's in place. We're very excited about the growth this season and the opportunity we'll have to add more this offseason."

On three straight seasons with at least 10 losses:

"You keep grinding. Ten-loss seasons are not acceptable to us. Our record definitely isn't where we want it to be or need it to be for that matter. But we're confident the combination of the foundation we've built and the resources we have going forward will soon translate to on-field success."

On Vikings quarterback Case Keenum:

"He's really taken the reins of their offense and he's performed extremely well. He's an experienced quarterback who's been in several different systems, which I think as helped him. And from afar you just admire his toughness, the way he plays, his playmaking ability really outside the pocket is impressive. You can just feel he's playing with a lot of confidence right now and really their whole team has a lot of momentum right now."
