Bears running back Matt Forte and receiver Brandon Marshall have been selected to the 2013 Pro Football Writers Association 2013 All-NFC team.

Forte ranked second in the NFL in rushing with 1,339 yards and third in yards from scrimmage with 1,933. Both are career highs and the most by a Bears player other than Walter Payton. Forte also caught 74 passes, breaking his own record for most receptions in a season by a Bears running back.

Matt Forte and Brandon Marshall tied for the Bears lead with 12 touchdowns apiece.
Forte rushed for over 100 yards in four of the last five games of the season, giving him 20 100-yard outings in his career, tying Gale Sayers for the second most in franchise history.

In 2013, Forte became the first Bears player to top 1,000 yards as a rusher and 500 yards as a receiver in multiple seasons. He ranks second on the franchise's all-time rushing list with 6,666 yards, trailing only Payton (16,726).

Marshall ranked fifth in the NFL with 100 catches and 11th with 1,295 yards. He led the Bears with a career-high 12 touchdown catches and six 100-yard games. In two seasons in Chicago, Marshall is second in the league with 218 receptions, fourth with 2,803 yards and fifth with 23 TDs.

After setting Bears records and career highs with 118 receptions for 1,508 yards in 2012, Marshall became the first player in franchise history with multiple 100-catch seasons.

Forte and Marshall were both also selected to the Pro Bowl. Forte will make his second appearance in the all-star game, while Marshall has been voted to five Pro Bowls in eight NFL seasons. Last year he became only the second Bears receiver to be chosen since 1971.

Other members of the PFWA's 2013 All-NFC offense include Saints quarterback Drew Brees, Eagles running back LeSean McCoy, Lions receiver Calvin Johnson, Saints tight end Jimmy Graham, Panthers center Ryan Kalil, Eagles guard Evan Mathis, Packers guard Josh Sitton, Eagles tackle Jason Peters and 49ers tackle Joe Staley.
