PERSONAL: Born Anthony Adams, Jr. in Detroit, MI… Prepped at Martin Luther King (Detroit, MI) High School, where he was named USA Today honorable mention All-American… Three-year letterman who helped lead his team to runner-up honors in the city championship game all 3 years… Also lettered in shot put for the track team… Worked toward earning degree from Penn State during the 2003 and 2004 off-seasons, graduating in May of 2004… During Super Bowl XL in his hometown of Detroit, Adams took part in the Read Across America Program and gave a pair of Super Bowl tickets and an autographed jersey to the top two students of Youth Ville, an after-school program for inner city kids, who had the most improved report cards… Adams and wife Andenika have a son, Anthony Adams III.
