PRO CAREER: Enters second year with the Bears and sixth NFL season with experience at both tackle positions and guard, seeing a majority of his playing time during his first season in Chicago as a sixth eligible lineman... Has played in 50 games with 34 starts for Jacksonville (2009-12) and Chicago (2013) during NFL career... Started 23 games at RT, 7 at LG and 4 as a sixth eligible lineman... One of three rookies to start 15-plus games for the Jaguars in 2009, all of them coming at RT.

PREVIOUS SEASONS: 2012 - Played in 11 games making 5 starts at LG for the Jaguars. 2011 - Was hampered by a back injury and played in only 4 games with 3 starts in Jacksonville… Was inactive for 5 games and was placed on IR on Nov. 14. 2010 - Started first 7 games at RT before he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury… Was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 26. 2009 - Started 15 games as a rookie RT, the third-most by a rookie OT in Jaguars history… Started season-opener on 9/13 at IND, joining Eugene Monroe as the first pair of rookie tackles to start on opening day in the NFL since 1982 when Luis Sharpe and Tootie Robbins started for the St. Louis Cardinals.  

COLLEGE CAREER: Started all 37 games played in three seasons at Arizona (2006-08)... Played first two seasons at RT (24 games) before switching to LT as a junior (13 games)... Registered 289 knockdowns, 34 down-field blocks and 43 TD-resulting blocks, grading 85.6 for blocking consistency... Was penalized just four times on 2,461 snaps... Earned All-America honorable mention by The NFL Draft Report and first-team all-Pac 10 as a junior... Third-team All-America selection and all-Pac 10 first-team selection by The NFL Draft Report, while starting all 12 games at RT as a sophomore... Started all 12 games as a redshirt freshman at RT, earning first-team Freshman All-America honors from The NFL Draft Report... Selected honorable mention all-Pac 10 by the league’s coaches... Spent 2005 season on the scout team and did not play in any games... Graduated in 2011 with a degree in creative writing.

PERSONAL: Has a daughter, Sondra Eleanor Parsons… Attended John Burroughs High School (Burbank, Calif.)… Named Foothill League co-lineman of the year as a senior… Added Los Angeles Times all-region San Fernando Valley honors and named Super Prep All-American… Competed in the Cali-Florida All-Star game in Miami… Started at LT as a senior and at RT his first two seasons… Also lettered in basketball and track, setting school records in the shot put and discus… Four-time Honor Roll student and Scholar-Athlete Award winner… Father, Jeff, played basketball at Jacksonville University… Mother, Abbie, is a Columbia University graduate and journalist.
