PRO CAREER: Starting all 16 games at RT as a rookie in 2013… Was one of two rookies (Kyle Long) to start along the offensive line for the Bears on opening day since 1983 when Jim Covert started at LT and Rob Fada started at LG… Helped the offensive line achieve its lowest sack total since 2008 (30) and its lowest sack percentage (4.9) since the 1982 season… Was part of an offensive unit that set franchise records in total net yards and first downs gained in 2013… The 445 points scored by the Bears in 2013 was second only to the ’85 Bears… Helped pave the way for Matt Forte’s 1,339 rushing yards which was good enough for second in the NFL.

COLLEGE: Mills appeared in 37 games at Louisiana Tech (2009-12), starting 34 contests – 29 at right offensive tackle and 5 at left guard… In two full seasons starting at right tackle (2011-12), combined for 199 knockdowns and 32 touchdown-resulting blocks… Also recorded 3 tackles (2 solos) during his Bulldogs career... As a senior, received All-American third-team and WAC Offensive Lineman of the Year honors from The NFL Draft Report… Was named All-Western Athletic Conference first-team by the league’s coaches… Started all 12 games at right offensive tackle, as he led a front wall that allowed the fewest sacks in the conference and seventh-lowest in the major college ranks... 21 touchdown-resulting blocks were the most since Willie Roaf recorded 24 in 1991… Paved the way for a rushing attack that led the WAC with an average of 227.17 ypg,… Aided an offensive unit that led the nation in both total yardage (6,935; 577.92 ppg) and scoring (618; 51.50 ppg) and ranked third in passing (4,209 yards; 350.75 ypg)... Also lettered in basketball for three years and threw the shot put on the track team for three years... Helped lead the track team to regionals as a junior... His cousin Tramon Williams played football at Louisiana Tech and now plays for the Green Bay Packers.
