PRO CAREER: Pro Bowl (2011) running back ranks third in Bears history in yards from scrimmage (7,652) and fourth in rushing yards (5,327 on 1,262 attempts)… 26 rushing touchdowns are tied for fifth most in Bears annals… Since entering the NFL in 2008, ranks fourth in the league in yards from scrimmage, eighth in rushing yards and third in receiving yards among running backs… Has posted 2,325 receiving yards on 267 receptions (8.7 ypc) and 9 receiving touchdowns… Started all 75 career games in which he has appeared during five seasons with Chicago… His five seasons with 1,400-plus yards from scrimmage are second most in franchise history, trailing Hall of Famer Walter Payton's 10, and he is the first player in franchise history to have 1,400-plus yards from scrimmage in each of his first five seasons… First player in franchise history with 900 rushing yards in each of his first five seasons with the team… One of three players in team history with 5,000 rushing yards and 2,000 receiving yards, joining Neal Anderson and Walter Payton… Collected 15 100-yard rushing games (Bears are 14-1 in those contests) and 3 100-yard receiving games in his career…

Also set the franchise rookie single-season record for yards from scrimmage (1,715)... Caught a team-high 63 passes for 477 yards, which set the team record for catches by a Chicago RB and receptions by a rookie, to go along with 4 receiving TDs... Tied for the NFL lead with 86 first downs and tied for 12th in the League with 12 TDs (8 rushing, 4 receiving).

COLLEGE: Finished career at Tulane (2004-07) as the school's all-time leader in rushing yards per game (99.2), rushing touchdowns (39), total touchdowns (44) and scoring among non-kickers (266 points)… Also finished career ranked second in school annals in all-purpose yards (5,261), rushing yards (4,265), rushing attempts (833) and 100-yard rushing games (16)… Just the 11th player in NCAA Division I (Bowl Subdivision) history to rush for 2,000 yards in a season with 2,127 in 2007 which ranks 7th all-time in NCAA history… Added 103 receptions for 985 yards and five touchdowns… Named MVP for the 2008 Under Armour Senior Bowl, rushing for a game-high 58 yards on 8 carries and a game-high 4 catches for 38 yards.

PERSONAL: District 5A Offensive MVP, all-Metro selection and second-team all-state performer at Slidell (LA) High School… Gathered 2,432 rushing yards and 31 TDs while adding 48 receptions for 618 yards and 5 TDs… Son of Gene and Gilda Forté… Father, Gene, played football at Tulane from 1975-77 and was a team captain in 1977… Married to the former Danielle Daniels…Brother, Bryan, played football at McNeese State… Majored in finance.
