PRO CAREER: Had breakout season in first year as a starter along Bears defensive line (2011), registering 7 sacks - which ranked tied for third in NFL among defensive tackles and tops in the NFC... Has 9.5 sacks, 4 TFLs, 33 tackles, a forced fumble and fumble recovery in 31 career games (15 starts) in two seasons (2010-11) after seeing his rookie season in 2009 derailed by injury... Has added 1 PBU and 6 special teams tackles.

Competed in track and field as a freshman, sophomore and junior and played baseball as a freshman... Born in Cedar Hill, Texas and also lived in San Diego, Calif. and Yokosuka, Japan as a child... Graduated with a degree in education... His uncle, Ray Crockett, played 14 years in the NFL with Detroit (1989-93), Denver (1994-2000) and Kansas City (2001-02)... His sister, Kameshia, played volleyball at Auburn (2003-04).
