PRO CAREER: Has started all 78 games he has appeared in during his six NFL seasons with Denver (2006-08) and Chicago (2009-11)... Completed 1,541-of-2,521 passes (61.1 percent) for 18,283 yards, 117 TDs and 86 INTs for a QB rating of 84.5... In three seasons with Chicago, ranks first in Bears history in passer rating (82.1) and passing yards per game (225.8), second in completion percentage (59.9), tied for fourth in touchdown passes (63), fifth in completions (779), sixth in attempts (1,301) and seventh in passing yards (9,259)... Became the first quarterback in Bears franchise history to post back-to-back 3,000-yard seasons and the first QB to record back-to-back 20+ TD passes (2009-10)

Ran for 176 yards on 43 carries (4.3 avg), the sixth most yards of any QB.  2008 - Served as a Broncos team captain, starting all 16 games and established single-season team highs in completions (384), attempts (616) and passing yards (4,526) while posting the most 300-yard performances in a season (8)... Ranked third in the league and led the AFC with 4,526 passing yards... Became the third player in League annals to throw for more than 4,500 yards and rush for more than 200 yards in a single season (Daunte Culpepper, 2004; Warren Moon, 1990)... Threw his 50th career touchdown pass in his 33rd game, becoming the fastest player in Denver history to reach that mark. 2007 - In his first full season as a starting quarterback for Denver, completed 297-of-467 (63.6%) passes for 3,497 yards with 20 touchdowns and 14 interceptions for an 88.1 passer rating in 16 starts... Ranked ninth in the NFL in yards per pass attempt (7.49), 10th in passing yards, tied for 10th in completions and 12th in passer rating... Rushed for 205 yards on 44 carries (4.7 avg.) and 1 TD to rank fourth in the league in rushing among quarterbacks... Posted two 300-yard passing games, five multiple passing touchdown efforts and five games with a completion percentage of at least 70 percent. 2006 - Started the final five games of his rookie season after being named Denver's starter on Nov. 27... Completed 81-of-137 (59.1%) passes for 1,001 yards with nine TDs and five INTs... Became the first rookie in NFL history (second player overall) to throw multiple touchdown passes in each of his first four games played... Also became just the second rookie in league history (fifth player overall) to throw at least two touchdown passes in each of his first four starts... Posted the second-highest TD percentage (6.6) and third-highest TD-to-INT ratio (1.8) among NFL rookies since 1970 (with at least 125 passing attempts) and set Denver rookie records for passer rating (88.5) and completion percentage (59.1).

COLLEGE: Three-year captain who started all 45 career games played at Vanderbilt University (2002-05) where he completed 710-of-1,242 passes for 8,697 yards with 59 touchdowns and 34 interceptions... Rushed for 1,256 yards on 453 career rushes with 17 touchdowns... Set school career records for total offense (9,953 yards), touchdown passes (59), passing yards (8,697), pass completions (710), pass attempts (1,242) and combined touchdowns (76)... Ranked ninth in the nation in total offense (298.9 yards per game) as a senior while completing 273-of-462 passes for 3,073 yards, 21 touchdowns and nine interceptions as he became the first Commodore to be named Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Year (coaches and media) since 1967... Named a finalist for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award (nation's top senior quarterback) as well as a first-team all-SEC pick by the league's coaches after leading the conference with a school-record 3,288 yards of total offense... Became the first quarterback in school history to record four consecutive 300-yard passing performances as a senior with a stretch that included Vanderbilt's first win against Tennessee since 1982 in its season finale in Knoxville, Tenn... Started 11 games for the Commodores as a redshirt freshman, earning third-team freshman All-America honors from The Sporting News and first-team freshman all-SEC accolades from the league's coaches and the Associated Press.

PERSONAL: Started at quarterback and safety for three years at Heritage Hills H.S. in Lincoln City, Ind.... Received first-team all-state honors (Associated Press) as a senior, leading the school to a 15-0 record and its first state title by hauling in a game-winning 12-yard touchdown pass off a lateral to win the championship... Connected on 122-of-202 passes for 2,252 yards with 31 touchdowns while rushing 65 times for 493 yards with 11 touchdowns during his senior campaign... Also was a first-team all-state selection in basketball and garnered honorable mention all-state accolades as a shortstop... Completed his bachelor's degree in human and organizational development from Vanderbilt in December 2005... Grew up in a subdivision called Christmas Village in the Southern Indiana town of Santa Claus... Diagnosed with Type I diabetes in mid-April 2008... Started the Jay Cutler Foundation which is dedicated to improving the quality of life for underprivileged children and those suffering from diabetes... Father, Jack, worked for the Indiana state police and his mother, Sandy, was a part-time teacher.
