Helped the 2013 Bears set franchise records in numerous categories including total net yards and first downs gained… Has paved the way for a 1,000 yard rusher 4 out of the 5 previous seasons (Matt Forte – 1,038 in 2014; Matt Forte – 1,339 in 2013; Shonn Greene – 1,063 in 2012; Shonn Greene – 1,054 in 2011)… Did not allow a sack in 2012... Recovered football in end zone for a touchdown at Denver (11/17/11)... Started all 3 postseason contests played during his career.

2014 SEASON: Started 5 contests (Games 1 & 5-8) at LG for the Bears; missed Games 2-4 due to an ankle injury… Placed on injured reserve on November 8 after suffering a chest injury in Week 8, forcing him to miss the final 8 games of the season. GAMES PLAYED-STARTED: 5-5

PREVIOUS SEASONS: 2013 - Played and started in all 16 games at LG for Chicago… Was part of an offensive unit that set franchise records in total net yards and first downs gained in 2013… The 445 points scored by the Bears in 2013 was second only to the ’85 Bears… Accounted for 2.5 sacks and as a unit the offensive line allowed its lowest sack total (30) since 2008 and its lowest sack percentage (4.9) since 1982… Helped pave the way for Matt Forte’s 1,339 rushing yards which was good enough for second in the NFL. 2012 - Started all 16 games for the Jets for the third-straight season... Did not allow a sack and played 100% of the offensive snaps. 2011 - Appeared in 16 games, starting each contest... Became the first Jets lineman to score a touchdown on a fumble recovery since 1972. 2010 – Played and started all 16 games... Part of an offensive line that ranked fourth in the league in rushing (2,374 yards/148.4 yards per game) and allowed just 28 total sacks, ranking eighth in the league.  2009 – Appeared in 3 games as a rookie for the Jets.

COLLEGE: In 2008 at Nebraska, started all 13 games at right guard during his senior season... Received first-team all-Big 12 honors from the San Antonio Express-News, while being a second-team all-conference selection by several other sources... In 2007, played in all 12 games, making eight starts at three different positions, including right guard and both tackle spots... Honorable-mention all-Big 12 from the Associated Press and second-team all-Big 12 by Rivals.com.

PERSONAL: Played one season at Air Force Prep School in Colorado Springs, lining up at offensive tackle... Spent 2003 season at Air Academy (Colorado Springs, CO) High School... Began his high school career at Sweet Home (OR) High School in Oregon for Coach Rob Younger... Lettered twice in basketball and four times in track, competing in both discus and shot put, during his prep career.
