We strongly suggest leaving more time to drive to Bears games.

Westbound Congress Parkway is reduced to 2 lanes just west of Wells St. for the Circle / Jane Byrne Interchange Reconstruction Project until August of 2018.

Alternate traffic routes:
Due to the road construction on I-55 (Stevenson Expressway) and other construction projects in the Soldier Field area, Illinois Dept. of Transportation has suggested the following alternative routes for fans driving to and from Soldier Field for Bears games:

  • Lake Shore Drive to Soldier Field remains a good option.
  • Fans can also take I-90/94 (Dan Ryan Expressway) and exit 31st St, Roosevelt Road or Congress Parkway and drive east. If they use the 31st St exit, drive east to Lake Shore Drive then north to Soldier Field. If they take Roosevelt Road or Congress Parkway, drive east to Columbus Drive, then south to LSD and Soldier Field.

  • If you are directed southbound on Lake Shore Drive or Moe Drive (just west of Lake Shore Drive) exit and go west on 31st St to Martin Luther King Drive, then north to I-55, Stevenson Expressway. From the southbound Stevenson, you can access I-90/94 (Dan Ryan Expressway) to go north or south. Fans can also stay on 31st St westbound to I-90/94.
  • If you are directed northbound on LSD, stay left to Columbus Dr. Take northbound Columbus to Roosevelt Road west to Jefferson, north to Adams, west to I-90/94. For Eastbound I-90/94, take Roosevelt Road to Union Ave, then south to the Dan Ryan Expressway. Fans can also take Columbus Drive north to westbound Congress Blvd or westbound Randolph St. to I-90/94. Driving north on Lake Shore Drive, fans can take Randolph St. west to I-90/94.

Waldron Deck and South Lot exit routes

  • To help ease congestion postgame for those exiting the South Lot and Waldron Deck, cars may be directed west on 18th Drive to southbound Moe Drive (just west of LSD underneath McCormick Place), to westbound 31st St. From there, cars can go back northbound on Martin Luther King Drive to I-55.
