The Chicago Bears announced today that Bears Care, the organization’s charitable arm, will hold a Giving Tuesday event on Nov. 27 at the Kendra Scott store at Westfield Old Orchard (4999 Old Orchard Center) in Skokie. From 6-8 p.m., 20 percent of all proceeds will benefit Bears Care. Bears punter Pat O’Donnell and kicker Cody Parkey will attend the event from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Food and beverage will also be provided. Phone purchases can be made day-of by calling 847-410-1022.
In conjunction with worldwide Giving Tuesday efforts, Bears Care is also introducing a new “Text to Donate” feature. Fans can text “GIVING BEARSCARE” to 484848 or visit chicagobears.com/bearscare to donate to Bears Care. Donors can also select an area of focus within Bears Care’s mission that they would like to direct their support to. Every dollar donated will go directly to programs that make a measurable difference in lives of the Chicagoland community, those that are less fortunate, those that battle cancer or those that need a helping hand to reach their full potential. Nearly $2 million has been distributed to date in 2018.
