The historic Chicago Bears Centennial Scrapbook is now available for presale at store.chicagobears.com.
Written by Pro Football Writers of America Dick McCann Award-winning sportswriters Don Pierson and Dan Pompei, the Chicago Bears Centennial Scrapbook is a unique look back at the first 100 years of Bears history, highlighted by interviews with Mrs. Virginia Halas McCaskey.
The book costs $45 and will begin shipping in the spring and ship no later than June 3.
Pierson and Pompei connected with the foremost Bears authority, Mrs. McCaskey, to unveil never-before-told stories. Readers will discover how a struggling family business morphed into a billion-dollar franchise and learn more about who George Halas was on and off the field. The scrapbook also shares countless stories from pivotal people that shaped the Bears franchise into what it is today.
The Centennial Scrapbook showcases Pierson and Pompei’s reflections through discussion and compilations from Bears greats, including Mike Ditka, Jim Finks, Matt Nagy, Ryan Pace and more. Fans can read about general managers, owners, coaches and players from the past 100 years.
Stories include Mrs. McCaskey’s personal reflection on Curly Lambeau and the rivalry with the Packers, how the Bears saved the Packers, Brian Urlacher’s greatest game and Nagy’s creative play calls, among others.
