The Bears-Vikings Week 17 game, originally scheduled for noon (CT), will now kickoff at 3:25 p.m. (CT). The NFL announced the schedule change during Sunday Night Football.
This is the third game the Bears have had flexed this season. The NFL flexed the Bears' Week 11 game against the Vikings and Week 14 game against the Rams to Sunday Night Football. Chicago won both of those contests.
This will also mark just the third time this year the Bears play in the late afternoon time slot. The Bears edged the Cardinals 16-14 in a game that kicked off at 3:25 p.m. (CT) in Week 3. On Sunday, Chicago took down the 49ers 14-9 in a game that started at 3:05 p.m. (CT).
The new kickoff time means the Bears will play at the same time as the Rams, who will be hosting the 49ers. The Bears could still capture the No. 2 playoff seed in the NFC and a first-round bye if they win and the Rams lose next week.
The Bears-Rams game will be televised regionally on FOX.
