Bears set to celebrate Women's History Month

The Bears will celebrate Women's History Month by recognizing females from across the organization on official team channels throughout March. Fans are encouraged to follow along to learn about the important roles women play at the Bears.

First Lady of the NFL senior writer Larry Mayer will highlight the impact that Bears owner Virginia Halas McCaskey has had on both the club and NFL.

WISE Chicago Panel

WISE Chicago is teaming up with the Bears for their "Power Play: Up Close With" series, which is an annual WISE Signature Event bringing together executive-level female sports business leaders from the same organization for a panel discussion on their careers. The virtual panel will be moderated by Bears Reporter Lauren Screeden and include Director of Marketing Elaine Delos Reyes, Director of Partnership Activation Melissa McDermott, Senior Vice President of Business Strategy & CFO Karen Murphy, Director of Social Media Jen Tulicki and Director of Events & Entertainment Tanesha Wade. Difference Makers

As part of the club's Difference Makers series, Mayer will detail Wade's role and career path. Wade has been with the Bears since 2013 and oversees the development, coordination and execution of the team's fan events, game presentation, production and entertainment.

LinkedIn Staff Profiles

Throughout the month, women from across the organization will be featured on the team's LinkedIn page and provide insight into their career paths, who inspires them and more.

Community Leaders

The community relations department and Bears Care–the team's charitable arm–will spotlight women making an impact in the community via the @BearsOutreach Twitter account throughout March.

National Girls & Women in Sports Day
