Bears sign three to practice squad

The Bears on Wednesday signed receiver Chris Williams, tight end Blake Allen and cornerback Jordan Sullen to their practice squad.

Williams returns after being waived on Monday, one day after making his NFL debut in the Bears' 28-20 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Williams was signed by the Bears off the Saints' practice squad prior to last year's season finale. Before joining New Orleans last October, he spent three seasons in the CFL with the Hamilton Tiger Cats, setting a league record with six return touchdowns in 2012.

In the preseason, Williams caught four passes for 94 yards including a 73-yard touchdown and averaged 27.0 yards on three kickoff returns.

Annen entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2014 out of Cincinnati. Collegiately, Annen appeared in 45 games for the Bearcats, hauling in 19 receptions for 218 yards and two touchdowns.

Sullen entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos in 2014 out of Tulane. Collegiately, Sullen appeared in 45 games with 25 starts, recording 96 tackles, three interceptions, one forced fumble and 20 passes defensed with the Green Wave.

The Bears still have one open spot on their 53-man roster.
