Which rookie has impressed you most so far in training camp?

I'd say second-round receiver Anthony Miller has impressed me most among the rookies so far in training camp, followed closely by sixth-round outside linebacker Kylie Fitts. Miller has consistently shown that he has very good hands and excellent run-after-the-catch ability. He made a great catch off the back of a defender in Thursday's practice. I'm confident that he's capable of making an immediate impact as a rookie this season. Fitts, meanwhile, has displayed a quick first step in rushing the quarterback and a non-stop motor. I think you'll see him record multiple sacks in the preseason and earn a spot in the rotation at outside linebacker. Other rookies who've impressed me include a pair of undrafted free agents in running back Ryan Nall and cornerback Michael Joseph, a Chicago area product. I believe that both of them will have a chance to earn a spot on the 53-man roster if they perform well on special teams in the preseason.
What's the latest news on the hamstring injury that has kept Danny Trevathan on the sideline?

Danny Trevathan missed the first week of training camp with a hamstring injury, but coach Matt Nagy said Thursday that the veteran inside linebacker "is getting closer day-by-day" to returning to practice. Said Nagy: "We feel really good about it. He's in good spirits and eventually when we feel the time is right, he'll be back out there leading this defense." With Trevathan and unsigned rookie first-round draft pick Roquan Smith not on the practice field, veterans Nick Kwiatkoski and John Timu have been getting valuable reps with the No. 1 defense.
Do you share my opinion that the tackles are the weak link of the Bears offense?

No, I don't think that tackles Charles Leno Jr. and Bobby Massie are the weak link of the offensive line, and neither does coach Matt Nagy. Here's what Nagy had to say Thursday about the two starting tackles: "I feel really good with where they're at. It's one of the first things that caught my attention when I first started watching tape on this offense from last year, was how good those guys were on the bookends. They're very athletic and they're smart; they understand it. There's a reason why they've been starters in this league. And [offensive line] coach Harry [Hiestand] has done a great job of just kind of tweaking some things here or there. But we're in a good position with both of them.
