Coach Matt Nagy indicated that the workload in the backfield will likely change on a game-by-game basis, so there will be plenty of opportunities for both Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen. While Howard had only 11 carries in last Sunday's win over the Buccaneers, he had 24 rushing attempts the previous week in Arizona. Here's what running backs coach Charles London had to say about utilizing Howard and Cohen: "It's really an ebb-and-flow of how the game goes. We thought we had some matchups that worked for us [featuring Cohen against the Buccaneers]. It may be Jordan's game next week. It may be another 25 or so carries then. They just need to understand how it works, and they do understand, and they're very supportive of each other and the success they have."

Yes, James Daniels is expected to split time with Eric Kush at left guard moving forward. Daniels performed well in his debut on offense against the Buccaneers, earning more playing time. Said offensive line coach Harry Hiestand: "The plan is to stay the course. If they prepare the right way, then we'll continue the way we did." Hiestand went on to say that it's a challenge for the 21-year-old to make the adjustment from college football to the NFL as it is for every rookie, but "as long as he keeps working, he'll be able to get snaps out there." Hiestand explained that Daniels was given game reps after showing in practice that he was able to identity defensive fronts and utilize proper technique.

Those who preceded him were Wilber Marshall (December 1986), Trace Armstrong (September 1990), Julius Peppers (November 2010), Brian Urlacher (December 2010), Peppers (November 2011), Tim Jennings (September 2012) and Charles Tillman (October 2012).
