I know that Cody Whitehair had been starting at left guard. But now that the Bears have signed Josh Sitton, will Whitehair become the starting center?

I'm pretty sure the Bears won't divulge who's starting where on their offensive line due to competitive reasons heading into Sunday's regular-season opener in Houston. But I can tell you that the team's unofficial Week 1 depth chart lists Josh Sitton as the starting left guard and Ted Larsen as the No. 1 center with rookie Cody Whitehair as the backup center. In addition, coach John Fox revealed Monday that he thinks that center is Whitehair's best position, saying: "He's very athletic. He understands the game. He plays it kind of beyond his years as far as experience-wise."
Why did the Bears cut receiver Daniel Braverman and tight end Ben Braunecker? I heard they were high on them. Will they be on the practice squad?

Receiver Daniel Braverman, a seventh-round draft pick from Western Michigan, failed to make the 53-man roster because he was competing for a job at a deep position and didn't make much of an impact on offense or special teams during preseason games. Ben Braunecker didn't have much of an opportunity to prove what he could do because he missed most of training camp and the first three preseason games with an ankle injury. Both players were in fact signed to the practice squad, where they will continue to develop. I wouldn't be surprised if Braverman and Braunecker both eventually get promoted to the active roster at some point this season.
