Family Fest to feature live scrimmage

Are you ready for some real football in the Bears' home stadium even before the preseason begins?

The Bears are scheduled to conduct a live scrimmage as part of their Meijer Family Fest practice next Saturday at Soldier Field. Three portions of the practice are slated to feature live tackling pitting the No. 1 offense against the No. 2 defense, the No. 2 offense versus the No. 1 defense, and the No. 3 offense against the No. 3 defense.

Tickets cost $8-12 (plus applicable taxes and fees) and are available by phone, Internet and all Ticketmaster outlets. Fans may charge by phone at (800) 745-3000, or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Group tickets (20) can also be purchased by contacting the Bears Ticket Office at (847) 615-BEAR (2327). Seating for Meijer Family Fest will be reserved; there will not be general admission seating.

Activities outside the stadium are scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m., including live music, alumni autographs, radio station remote broadcasts, kids' activities, sponsor displays and giveaways. Gates to Soldier Field are scheduled to open at 10 a.m. with practice beginning at approximately 11:35 a.m.
