The Bears on Thursday signed offensive lineman Tommy Doles and waived/injured cornerback Jomon Dotson.

Doles was Northwestern's starting right guard each of the past three seasons. In 2018, the 6-4, 296-pounder helped the Wildcats win the Big Ten West Division title. He was voted Academic All-Big Ten last year and is currently enrolled in the Kellogg Master's of Management Studies program.

Doles returns three days after being waived by the Bears on Monday. He originally joined the NFC North champions May 5 as an undrafted free agent.

Dotson signed with the Bears as an undrafted free agent May 2. He played three seasons at Washington before transferring to Nevada in 2018.
