Bears fans can celebrate the start of the regular season on September 5 with the Kickoff Experience presented by EA Sports Madden 20.
With the Green Bay Packers visiting the Bears for the first game of the NFL's 100th season, a full-day celebration will take place a short walk from Soldier Field in Grant Park. The event is free and open to the public. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the event.
Festivities will start at noon and continue up through 7 p.m. when the Bears and Packers kick off. The game will be broadcast live in the park on 17-foot screens. This watch party is a first of its kind for the Bears, and there will be far more to do than just watching the game.
Meek Mill will headline the event. The Philadelphia-based rapper has had three albums top the Billboard charts, including his most recent effort, "Championships" from December of last year. Megan Trainor and Rapsody will also perform.
Meek Mill is scheduled to take the stage at 6:30 p.m., and parts of his and Meghan Trainor's performance will be broadcast during the pregame show.
The Mini-Madden 20 Tournament will run throughout the day for those who just can't wait until 7 p.m. for the competition to start. For those not playing in the tournament, there will be Madden gaming stations open to the public for free game play.
Fans will have the opportunity to test themselves on NFL Combine activities, take pictures with the Super Bowl Trophy and all 53 Super Bowl rings. There will be live music on the main stage throughout the afternoon leading up to the game. Also, The Chicago Bears Drumline and Monster Squad will also make appearances.
Bears fans can get something signed by Bears legends at the Autograph Stage. Jim McMahon will be available from 2:00-3:30, Matt Forte from 4:15-5:45, and Charles Tillman from 6:00-7:30.
