Wondering about a player, a past game or another issue involving the Bears? Senior writer Larry Mayer answers a variety of email questions from fans on ChicagoBears.com.
Which Bears player do you think has the best chance of being added to the Pro Bowl?
Long Grove, Illinois
I would probably say that running back Jordan Howard has the best chance to be added. The three backs voted to the NFC team were the Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott, the Cardinals' David Johnson and the Falcons' Devonta Freeman. If Dallas reaches the Super Bowl, that would prevent Elliott from playing in the Pro Bowl. Plus there's always a chance that one of the three will back out of the game due to an injury. Of the running backs who didn't make it, Howard has rushed for the most yards with 1,059 on 211 carries. Here's what Bears offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains had to say about Howard this week: "Jordan's had a really good year and he's helped this football team. Obviously it hasn't shown in the win-loss column, but he's helped our offense. He's a good running back. I think he can get a lot better. He's going to be a big part of this organization going forward."
I read this week that the Bears have lost six straight games to the Redskins. What is the Bears' longest losing streak and longest winning streak against one team in their history?
Rolling Meadows, Illinois
The longest losing streak the Bears have ever had against one opponent has been 10 games to the Packers from 1994-98. The skid was broken in 1999 when Bryan Robinson blocked Ryan Longwell's 28-yard field goal attempt on the final play to preserve a 14-13 win in Green Bay just six days after Bears legend Walter Payton passed away. The longest winning streak the Bears have ever had over one team has been 13 games versus the Steelers from 1934-49.
How many players do the Bears have on injured reserve and how does that compare to previous seasons?
The Bears have 18 players on injured reserve, which is the most they've had the last 10 years by a wide margin. Here are the number of Bears players on injured reserve the past decade: 7 in 2006, 13 in 2007, 8 in 2008, 8 in 2009, 2 in 2010, 10 in 2011, 7 in 2012, 5 in 2013 and 13 in 2015.
