Bears100 Celebration Weekend kicked off with the Orange Carpet brought to you by Hyundai. Fans that attended the Bears100 Celebration Weekend Opening Ceremony viewed live coverage of the Orange Carpet arrivals inside the venue with hosts Lauren Screeden and Anthony “Spice” Adams.
The Opening Ceremony, which celebrated 100 years of Bears football, was emceed by Voice of the Bears on WBBM Newsradio 780 & 105.9 FM Jeff Joniak and former Chicago Bear and current Color Analyst of the Bears on WBBM Newsradio 780 &105.9 FM Tom Thayer. During the program, over 200 current and former Bears players and coaches were recognized and the Bears unveiled the team’s new classic jersey.
Chicago Bears Pro Bowl quarterbacks Jim McMahon and Mitchell Trubisky united to share their experiences as offensive leaders of the NFL’s founding franchise.
Bears Hall of Famers Mike Singletary and Dick Butkus came together to recount their favorite moments as members of the storied franchise’s rich middle linebacker history.
Legendary players and personalities Mike Ditka, Johnny Morris and Bob Wetoska helped Coach Halas clinch his final NFL Championship against the New York Giants at Wrigley Field. Fans heard from the champions themselves as they joined to remember that epic victory.
