Bears Share program brings fans to Soldier Field

Thanks to donations from the Chicago Bears and our Season Ticket Holders, over 3,300 deserving individuals from more than 35 charitable organizations were able to attend Bears Family Fest at Soldier Field, as well as the Bears two home preseason games.

Bears Family Fest took place on Saturday, August 2, giving fans the chance to watch a full Bears practice under the lights at Soldier Field. Guests also enjoyed a spectacular fireworks show, live music, games and other family-friendly activities. The Bears were pleased to donate tickets to over 300 youth football players who participated in a youth football demonstration prior to practice, as well as children and families from Arden Shore Child & Family Services, Best Buddies Illinois, Chicago Run, Dreams for Kids, Gilda's Club Chicago, Girls in the Game, Maryville Academy, Metropolitan Family Services, The Salvation Army, Starlight Children's Foundation Midwest, United Way of Lake County, and Youth Guidance.

The Bears honored current and former members of the United States Military on Friday, August 8 when the Bears defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in preseason action. Over 1,000 tickets were donated to organizations that serve current and former members of our armed forces, including Hines VA Hospital, The Pat Tillman Foundation, The Road Home, USO of Illinois, Veteran Tickets Foundation, Vietnam Veterans of America-Quad Cities, and Wounded Warrior Project. The Chicago Bears and USA Football welcomed youth football players and coaches from across the Chicago area to the Bears vs. Jaguars game on Thursday, August 14 as part of our USA Football Month Game. The Bears donated nearly 1,000 tickets to a number of youth football leagues that participate in the Heads Up Football initiative.

Through the Bears Share program, season ticket holders donated nearly 650 tickets to Bears Care for the Bears vs. Jaguars game, giving deserving individuals the opportunity to experience a game at Soldier Field. Tickets donated through Bears Share were distributed to Allendale Association, Bear Necessities, Best Buddies Illinois, Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago, Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago, BUILD Chicago, By the Hand Club for Kids, Gilda's Club Chicago, Lambs Farm, LYDIA Home, Maryville Academy, Midtown Educational Foundation, Misericordia, SEDOL Foundation, Special Olympics Chicago, Special Olympics Illinois, Thresholds, U.S. Navy, Veteran Tickets Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, Youth Guidance, and YWCA.

Over 1,200 tickets were donated to Bears Care by our season ticket holders for the Bears home preseason games. If you would like to donate tickets through Bears Share, you can donate online through MY BEARS SEASON TICKET ACCOUNT. Log in to your personal account and select "Manage My Tickets." Select the ticket(s) you wish to donate and select "Donate To Charity." The tickets will automatically be forwarded to Bears Care, the team's charitable beneficiary, for distribution to area not-for-profit organizations. The original ticket(s) become invalid. Donations must occur four (4) business days prior to the game to allow for distribution. Donors will receive an email acknowledgement which should be retained for tax purposes.
