Bears can clinch NFC North with win over Packers

The Bears' magic number for winning the NFC North has been reduced to one.

With the Vikings' 21-7 loss to the Seahawks Monday night in Seattle, the Bears can clinch the division title Sunday with a win over the Packers at Soldier Field or a Minnesota loss to the visiting Dolphins.

The Bears (9-4) will enter Week 15 with a two-and-a-half game lead atop the NFC North over the Vikings (6-6-1) with three games to play. The Bears will capture the division crown with any win or Vikings loss the rest of the season.

The Packers (5-7-1) remain alive for a wildcard berth but cannot win the division.

Even if the Bears do not clinch the NFC North Sunday, they can secure a playoff berth if the Redskins lose to the Jaguars in Jacksonville.

In Week 16, the Bears will visit the 49ers and the Vikings will visit the Lions. The Vikings will then host the Bears in the season finale in Minnesota.
