The Bears on Thursday signed rookie fifth-round choice Austin Booker, a defensive end from Kansas, to a four-year contract. 

When cornerback Tyrique Stevenson and safety Quindell Johnson entered the NFL a year ago, they left their college campuses with some unfinished business. But after completing the coursework they needed to graduate, the Bears teammates received their diplomas at their respective schools last weekend. 

The Bears will open their highly-anticipated 2024 campaign with three straight games against AFC South opponents, play in Detroit on Thanksgiving and close the season by facing the Packers in Green Bay.
