NFL.com’s Nick Shook has tabbed rookie safety Jaquan Brisker as the Bears' "unsung hero" of the 2022 season.

Shook lauded Brisker in an article that was posted Tuesday in which the writer chose one under-the-radar performer on every NFC team, "from surprise difference-makers to players who don't get the attention they deserve."

Brisker was chosen by the Bears in the second round of the 2022 draft out of Penn State (48th overall). He started all 15 games he played, compiling 104 tackles, five tackles-for-loss, a team-leading 4.0 sacks, one interception, two pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Earlier this month, Brisker was selected to the Pro Football Focus 2022 NFL All-Rookie Team and was chosen as the Bears' Rookie of the Year by ChicagoBears.com.
