Murphy's leadership and counsel extends across critical areas, including finance & accounting, stadium & event operations, building operations, information technology, purchasing and innovation. Her strategic direction ensure seamless coordination and alignment to uphold the Bears' standards of excellence in every aspect of their operations.

Throughout Murphy's 25-year tenure with the Bears, most recently as a senior vice president of business strategy and chief financial officer beginning in 2016, Murphy has played an integral role in shaping the Bears' strategic direction and spearheading transformative initiatives. Her visionary leadership has driven the club to leverage technology as a competitive advantage, integrate analytics into decision-making processes and prioritize the recruitment, development and retention of top-notch and diverse talent.

Noteworthy accomplishments under Murphy's leadership also include overseeing the successful renovations of Soldier Field in 2003 and Halas Hall in 2013 and 2019.

Prior to her career with the Bears, Murphy worked as a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young Global Consulting Services from 1993-97 and as a Corporate Management Senior Auditor for The Walt Disney Company from 1997-99.
