The Bears will continue their Bears100 Community All-Pro Initiative Sunday against the New York Giants.

This week's recipient of a $100,000 grant will be Cradles to Crayons, an organization focused on providing children in homeless or low-income situations with essential items they need to thrive at home, at school and at play.

Founded by Lynn Margherio in Boston 17 years ago, Cradles to Crayons came to Chicago in 2016. The organization collects items through donations and redistributes them to families in need throughout the area.

"Cradles to Crayons is honored to receive the Bears' Community All-Pro grant," said Cradles to Crayons Executive Director Shoshana Buchholz-Miller. "This year, we will serve over 82,000 children in Chicagoland who don't otherwise have access to warm coats and boots in the frigid weather, appropriate clothing, school supplies or hygiene items. Through the Bears' support, we are able to provide these children with these necessities, so they can get to school and be ready to learn with confidence and dignity. Thank you to the Bears for helping Chicago's kids, who are counting on us."

The Community All-Pros Initiative is an opportunity for the team to show its gratitude to the community that has supported it since 1921. Ten grants will be awarded over the course of the season before every home game, totaling $1 million.
