Biography

Daniel, a 6-0, 225-pounder, comes to Chicago after spending last season backing up Drew Brees with the New Orleans Saints. He spent the 2016 season with the Philadelphia Eagles and the 2013-15 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, working alongside then-quarterbacks coach Matt Nagy. He started his career in New Orleans where he played as the backup from 2010-2012. He was originally signed by the Washington Redskins in 2009 as an undrafted free agent and then signed to the Saints practice squad later that year.

Daniel has played in 57 NFL games with two starts, passing for 480 yards on 51-of-78 passing with one touchdown.
