Has added 71 STTs, 1 blocked punt (which was returned by the Bears for a touchdown) 1 forced fumble and 2 fumble recoveries on special teams... Also owns 11 kickoff returns for 230 yards (20.9 ypr)... His 55 special teams tackles leads the Bears since joining the team 2012... Has ranked in the top 3 on the Bears in special teams tackles all four previous seasons with the team (1st in 2015, 2nd in 2012 and 2014, 3rd in 2012).

Team's 2009 defensive most valuable player... Ranked first in Big Ten and eighth nationally in INTs... Earned a postseason all-star invite to the 2010 East-West Shrine Game... Named to the Sporting News' 2006 Freshman all-Big Ten team and was the team's special teams newcomer-of-the-year recipient.

PERSONAL: Attended Richwoods High School (Peoria, IL) where he earned team MVP and all-state honors (played eight dif- ferent positions his senior year)... Earned all-state honors from the Champaign-Urbana News-Gazette and Illinois Football Coaches Association... First-team Peoria Journal Star all-area and all-conference selection in 2005... Won the Illinois state long jump his junior year.
