Corey Ruff enters his second season as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Analytics & Chief of Staff of the Chicago Bears in 2025.
Ruff works closely with President and CEO Kevin Warren on administrative alignment, strategic planning and evaluating new business opportunities and growth across the organization.
In collaboration with departments across the organization, both in business and football operations, Ruff provides integral leadership and a strategic mindset to outline strategic organizational growth.
Elevating to the role of Senior Vice President of Strategy and Analytics & Chief of Staff in 2024, Ruff joined the organization in 2016 as Director of Business Analytics, an organic position derived from his previous experience with the National Basketball Association and in Major League Baseball where he focused on growing global fandom and optimizing club and league revenue.
Upon his appointment as Director of Business Analytics in 2016, Ruff implemented new and innovative, models to grow consumer engagement, modernize the club's technology, and enhance business operations and revenue generation, including the implementation of organizational performance indicators, competitive analyses, and measurement of strategic partnerships.
Prior to joining the Bears, Ruff held roles in the league offices and governing bodies of the NBA and MLB, serving in a consultative capacity to help teams grow their local revenue and fan bases through the use of analytical tools, models, and research methods.
Ruff's responsibilities with the National Basketball Association included analyzing league-wide consumer data to improve ticket sales and attendance forecasting accuracy. Following his tenure with the NBA, Ruff spent six years with Major League Baseball, elevating and fueling league- and club-profitability growth through analytical modeling of various consumer data.
A native of New Jersey, Ruff graduated from Lafayette College with undergraduate degrees in Economics, Business and Psychology, and is currently pursuing a Master of Liberal Arts and Management degree from Harvard University.
Ruff and his wife, Janine, have two children, supporting the Bears year-round.
