D.J. Hord enters his third season with the Chicago Bears in 2026, serving as the Director of Pro Scouting.
Hord joined the Bears in 2024 after spending seven seasons on the personnel staff of the Seattle Seahawks. In his final season with Seattle, Hord served as the Assistant Director of Pro Personnel. Hord initially joined the Seahawks as a Pro Scouting intern in 2017, a position he held for two seasons, before spending four seasons (2019-22) as a Pro Personnel Scout.
Prior to the NFL, Hord spent 2013-17 as the Director of Football Operations at the University of Northern Iowa, where he served the football program in a number of capacities, after spending 2012-13 as a graduate assistant, working with wide receivers and returners.
A native of Kansas City, Mo., Hord began his college playing career as a wide receiver for Notre Dame (2006-07), where he received an undergraduate degree. Following his graduation from Notre Dame, Hord finished his playing career at Northern Iowa (2008-09) while he earned his master's degree.
