Francis Saint Paul enters his third season as Assistant Director of College Scouting for the Chicago Bears in 2026, and his 15th season overall with the club.
Saint Paul joined the Bears as an Area Scout in 2012, before being elevated to National Scout in 2016, Senior National Scout in 2022, then to his current role in 2024. Before joining the Bears, Saint Paul spent five seasons at his alma mater, Northern Arizona University, on the coaching staff. Saint Paul commenced his career as a graduate assistant in 2007, before earning a full-time role the following spring, working primarily with wide receivers.
After being drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the sixth round of the 2001 NFL Draft, Saint Paul spent three seasons in the NFL with the Rams, Steelers, Jaguars and Panthers. Saint Paul's NFL career came after a standout career with Northern Arizona as a two-sport athlete. At the time of his graduation, Saint Paul ranked top-10 in receiving touchdowns, receptions and receiving yards in Lumberjack history. Â Along with his success on the football field, Saint Paul was a standout on the track, winning the 2000 Big Sky Conference title in the 100-meter dash.
A native of Los Angeles, Calif, Saint Paul and his wife, Whitney, have two sons – Jalen and Jaxon.
