Lee Twarling enters his 28th overall season with the Bears and second year as Senior Vice President of Fan/Guest Experience and Stadium Operations.
With over 30 years of experience in the National Football League, Twarling oversees all aspects of the fan and guest experience surrounding the organization, as well as leads operational elements surrounding Bears home games and the stadium logistics. Additionally, Twarling serves as the administrative lead for all training camp operations at Halas Hall.
Twarling works closely with President and CEO Kevin Warren to ensure an optimal fan and guest experience. Twarling and his staff develop thorough, comprehensive plans to connect the club and Bears fans to elevate the fan and guest experience, as well as assist with all operational and logistical needs.
Twarling entered the NFL with the Chicago Bears in 2001, serving as a Customer Service Representative. Following four years with the Bears, Twarling spent four years as Premium Suite Sales & Service Representative / Manager with the Denver Broncos (2004-07), before returning to the Bears in 2007 as the club's Director of Ticket Operations. Twarling was promoted to Senior Director of Ticket Operations in 2011, holding that role for six years, before elevating to Senior Vice President, Sales & Customer Relations in 2016.
In 2016, Twarling was named the second-ever recipient of the Virginia Award, an annual honor presented to a Bears employee who has demonstrated the characteristics and values of Mrs. McCaskey: grace, humility, loyalty and dedication. The Virginia Award recipient is an employee who epitomizes exemplary service to the team, business partners and fans, and exceeded the highest standards of achievement.
A native of Holdrege, Neb., Twarling earned his undergraduate degree in Sport Management from Nebraska Wesleyan University, where he was a four-year defensive back for the Prairie Wolves. Off the gridiron, Twarling was named an NAIA Scholar Athlete.
Following graduation from Nebraska Wesleyan, Twarling achieved an M.A. in Sport Management from Ohio State University, with a focus in ticketing and events.
Twarling and his wife, Erica, have three children – Madison, Logan and Colby.
