Biography
PRO CAREER:
- A 10-year NFL veteran enters second season with Bears in 2025
- Appeared in 151 regular season games in his career with 142 starts, as well as starting eight postseason games
- Amassed 883 tackles (601 solo) with 32 interceptions (returned for 380 yards with one returned for a touchdown), 76 passes defensed, 21 quarterback hits, 21 tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks, six fumble recoveries (with one returned for a touchdown) and four forced fumbles
- Since entering the league in 2016, among defensive backs ranks second in tackles and leads the NFL in interceptions
- Was named First-Team All-Pro in 2017 and 2021
2025 SEASON (BEARS):
- Has started in all four games
- Has 23 tackles (18 solo) including one for loss and a league leading three interceptions
- Sealed the Bears Week 3 victory with his 30th career interception...Had his fifth career multi interception game in the Bears Week 4 victory tying him with Xavien Howard for the most such games since Byard entered the NFL in 2016
- The two interceptions pushed his season total to three, the most in the NFL through Week 4 and it moved his career total to 32, tied for the most in the NFL since he entered the league in 2016
2024 SEASON (BEARS):

- Led team in tackles with 130 (80 solo), two sacks, five tackle for loss and one interception
- With his interception in Week 5, tied two other players for the most interceptions in the NFL since he became a full-time starter in 2017
2023 SEASON (EAGLES/TITANS):
- Started all 16 games appeared in for the Titans and Eagles, recording 122 tackles (80 solo) with one interception. Traded to Eagles on October 23
2022 SEASON (TITANS):
- Led the Titans with four interceptions and 106 tackles (68 solo)
- Marked fifth season (2017-19, 2021-22), and second consecutive leading the Titans in interceptions, and was third straight season leading them in tackles
2021 SEASON (TITANS):
- Named Associated Press first-team All-Pro and selected to second career Pro Bowl
- Started all 17 games at safety and tied for fourth in the NFL with a team-leading five interceptions
- Led the team with 88 tackles and ranked second on the squad 13 passes defensed. Notched a sack, two quarterback pressures, two forced fumbles and a fumble returned for a touchdown
- Named AFC Defensive Player of the Month for October after registering 27 tackles, three interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, a fumble recovery for a touchdown, a forced fumble and seven passes defensed.
2020 SEASON (TITANS):
- Started all 16 games at safety and led the team with a career-high 111 tackles
- Posted an interception, two quarterback pressures, a stop for loss, seven passes defensed and a forced fumble
- Started the postseason contest and collected five tackles and a pass defensed
- Led or tied for the team lead in tackles four times
- Led or tied for the team lead in passes defensed three times

2019 SEASON (TITANS):
- Started all 16 games for the third consecutive season and led the team and tied for fourth in the NFL with five interceptions

- Started all 16 games for the second consecutive season and led team with four interceptions

- Also posted a 66-yard touchdown pass on a fake punt. Led the team in tackles once
- Tied for the team lead in passes defensed six times

- Set a career-high with 16 tackles against Washington
2017 SEASON (TITANS):
- Selected first-team Associated Press All-Pro at safety and named to first career Pro Bowl
- Started all 16 games and tied for the NFL lead with eight interceptions
- Ranked second on the team with 18 passes defensed and third on the squad with a (then) career-high 87 tackles
- Notched three quarterback pressures, four tackles for loss and two fumble recoveries

- Named AFC Defensive Player of the Week after tallying eight tackles and two interceptions against Jacksonville
- Named AFC Defensive Player of the Week after tying a single-game franchise record with three interceptions at Cleveland
