The Chicago Bears today launched the "Bears Care Auction" feature within the free Chicago Bears Official App brought to you by Verizon. Fans will now have the opportunity to bid on and purchase exclusive game-used items, autographed memorabilia and one-of-a-kind Bears experiences throughout the calendar year. All proceeds will benefit Bears Care, the charitable arm of the Chicago Bears focusing on the quality of life for people in the Chicagoland community, especially disadvantaged children and their families.

Items offered with the Auction launch include:

Bears App

Fans with the Chicago Bears Official App can access the auction feature by tapping on "More" followed by "Bears Care Auction." There will be a one-time registration process (users should not need to log into the auction again unless they've actively logged out). Auction items will be added periodically throughout the year; users are encouraged to turn on push notifications via their app settings so they are notified when new items are available. The Chicago Bears Official App is available for Android and iOS devices. To download, search for the "Chicago Bears" app in Google Play or the Apple App Store.

About Bears Care

The Chicago Bears have a longstanding tradition of supporting numerous charities and assisting those in need. Bears Care was incorporated in 2005 as a 501 © 3 organization committed to improving the quality of life for people in the Chicagoland community, especially disadvantaged children and their families, through targeted programs supporting education, youth athletics, and medical research and health awareness programs focusing on breast and ovarian cancer. Since that time, Bears Care has issued grants totaling over $17.5 million to over 100 qualifying agencies.
