Bears sign OT Sowell to 1-year deal

The Bears on Tuesday bolstered their offensive line by signing tackle Bradley Sowell, a sixth-year pro who started nine games for the Seahawks last season.

The Bears on Tuesday signed tackle Bradley Sowell to a one-year contract.

The 6-7, 309-pounder has appeared in 68 NFL games with 21 starts over five seasons with the Colts (2012), Cardinals (2013-15) and Seahawks (2016). He started 12 games for Arizona in 2013 and nine contests for Seattle last season.

Sowell entered the NFL in 2012 with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent from Mississippi, where he was a two-time All-SEC honoree.
