PRO CAREER: Named to the Pro Bowl in each of his first two NFL seasons, becoming the first offensive lineman in franchise history to receive the honor in each of his first two professional football seasons and 10th Bears player ever to accomplish the feat overall (D. Hester, B. Urlacher, M. Carrier, G. Sayers, D. Butkus, M. Ditka, R. Casares, H. Hill, F. Williams)… Has started 31 contests at RG during NFL career… Helped pave way for 1,000-yard rusher in each of his two NFL seasons (M. Forte: 1,339 in 2013 and 1,038 in 2014)… Named to the PFWA’s All-Rookie team in 2013… Was the first Bears offensive lineman to reach the Pro Bowl since 2006 (R.Brown/O.Kreutz), the first Bears rookie to make the Pro Bowl squad since 2009 (J.Knox) and the first Bears rookie to make the Pro Bowl as a non-specialist since 2000 (B.Urlacher)… Was part of an offensive unit that set franchise records in total net yards, gross passing yards, net passing yards, passing touchdowns and first downs gained in 2013… Helped Bears score 445 points scored in 2013, second most in franchise history to the ’85 squad… Was part of an offensive line in 2013 that allowed the franchise’s lowest sack percentage (4.9) since 1982.

COLLEGE: Played in 11 games at Oregon, starting his final 5 contests at LG in 2012… At Saddleback (Mission Viejo, Cal.) Community College was a LT for 11 games in 2011 and a reserve defensive end for 11 contests in 2010… Red-shirted as a freshman at Florida State after accepting a baseball scholarship from the university.

PERSONAL: Attended St. Anne’s-Belfield (Ivy, Va.) High School, playing football for head coach John Blake... Competed as a two-way lineman in football and as a left-handed pitcher and first baseman for the baseball team… Earned All-state honors in both sports as a sophomore, junior and senior… Named to the Division II All-State team as both a defensive and offensive lineman as a junior… In his last two seasons, he led the football team to back-to-back state championships… After his senior year, he participated in the U.S. Army All-American Game… In baseball, he was selected in the 23rd round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft by the Chicago White Sox, but decided to accept a baseball scholarship to Florida State instead... Brother, Chris, plays defensive end for the St. Louis Rams and father, Howie, was an all-pro defensive end for the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders and is a member of the NFL Hall of Fame.
