YMCA of the USA, the national resource office for the 2,600 YMCAs across the country, has announced the addition of six new members to its National Board of Directors, including Bears executive vice president of revenue & chief business officer Meka Morris.

"I am deeply honored and genuinely excited to join the YMCA's National Board of Directors," Morris said. "The YMCA's mission—to strengthen communities, nurture potential, and advance equity—has never been more important. Across neighborhoods, the YMCA stands as a trusted force for good, meeting people where they are and helping them become who they are meant to be. I'm inspired by the opportunity to contribute to work that not only transforms individual lives, but also strengthens families, communities and generations."

The National Board of Directors, composed of 32 leaders from across the country, provides strategic direction and policy support to strengthen the YMCA's mission of connecting all people to their potential, purpose and each other. The new board members bring a wealth of expertise from various industries and will work collaboratively to advance the YMCA's goals of empowering communities nationwide.

In addition to Morris, the five other newly appointed members to the YMCA's National Board of Directors are:

• Sharon Dunbar, Vice President of Cross-Company Business Initiatives, General Dynamics Mission Systems, and Retired Major General, U.S. Air Force

• Curt Hazelbaker, President/CEO, YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas
• Lauren Koontz, CEO and President, YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta
• Aishwarya Swamidurai (Y-USA's Youth Advisory Council representative), Princeton University

These new members bring fresh insights, experiences and energy to their roles, and I know each of them will contribute uniquely and meaningfully to our work of strengthening communities.
