In Elliot Harrison’s NFL power rankings released Tuesday on NFL.com, the Bears moved up one slot since the post-Super Bowl rankings to No. 8 in the league.

Recalculating the power rankings after the first week of free agency, Harrison touted the Bears' signings of running back Mike Davis and return specialist/receiver Cordarrelle Patterson.

The seven teams ahead of the Bears are the 1) Patriots; 2) Saints; 3) Rams; 4) Chargers; 5) Colts; 6) Chiefs; and 7) Eagles. The only movement among that group since the last rankings were the Chargers and Chiefs swapping the No. 4 and 6 positions.

Looking at the NFC North, the Vikings remain at No. 13, while the Packers and Lions each moved up one spot to Nos. 17 and 19, respectively.

The Jaguars made the biggest leap of any NFL team, improving nine spots to No. 21 after replacing Blake Bortles at quarterback with Nick Foles.

The Browns improved by seven positions, jumping up to No. 9 after trading for star receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

The Giants fell the furthest of any team, tumbling eight spots to No. 27 after dealing away OBJ.
