Bears schedule to be announced Wednesday

The NFL will announce its regular-season schedule at 7 p.m. (CT) Wednesday. At the same time, the Bears' schedule will be revealed on

The Bears already know that they will kick off the NFL regular season by hosting the rival Green Bay Packers on Thursday night, Sept. 5 at Soldier Field. The reigning NFC North champions were chosen for that honor because the Bears and the NFL are both celebrating their 100th seasons this year.

In addition to opening against the Packers, the Bears will also host the Lions, Vikings, Cowboys, Giants, Chiefs, Chargers and Saints at Soldier Field. They will play the Raiders in London and also visit the Lions, Packers, Vikings, Eagles, Redskins, Broncos and Rams.

The Bears and the rest of the NFC North will play all four teams in both the NFC East and AFC West. The two games based on where the Bears finished in last year's standings will be against the Saints and Rams, who won their respective divisions.

Bears preseason and regular-season single-game tickets will go on sale to the general public at 8:30 p.m. (CT) Wednesday. Fans may purchase tickets through Ticketmaster online via Ticket limits and prices will vary by game. Demand-based pricing will be used again this season for all single-game tickets.
