Coach Matt Nagy informed Bears players Friday morning that most of the team's starters, including quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Because they played in the Hall of Fame Game, the Bears have held the most practices of any NFL team.

Nagy and the coaching staff were planning all week to rest the first-string players Saturday. So he gave them extra work in practice this week and was satisfied with what they accomplished.
